In all three previous books of this sat there was always hold in the background with his lovely daughter Alex a widower who lost his wife in childbirth he floats in and out of the books! I always got the impression he was sad and he was he lost his only true love from the age of 14 and then he meets Laural who is probably 180° different from his first wife. In book 4 of this incredible series we meet and fall in love with the real hold who loses his heart to Laurel a woman full of secrets and hidden emotions and who isn't the easiest person to live with because she's afraid. I think of all the books in the series this is the most heart wrenching because you see Holden finally break down and fall in love and you Cilauro finally break down and fall in love and you see Alex Holden's daughter finally break down the wall and fall in love and they become the family. As I close this book I thought of the last four days where I had the most amazing experience living and breathing with the family of the Avery's at Willow Creek outside of Missoula Montana. All I can say is if you need your heart mended and remembering a time when things were simple yet very complicated as all four of these novels show and invest in the four books from Willow Creek and keep going and reading book 5 books 6 and hopefully many many moreProduct details

If these characters could speak, then Holden would tell u how disappointed he was at how boring a family man U made him out to b. His brother, Colt, is so exciting, and while Holden is very charming and charismatic, he such a boring, settled, desperate man. As for the schoolmarm, she's trampy enough to drink in a bar and pick Holden up in a town, but, it's scandalous for her to leave her fiancé at the alter for cheating. Kind of BoRiNg. But I still enjoyed this series for the most part.)
If you haven't read any of the Willow Creek Series. You should start with the first book. She makes the men and women come to life, before you are so spell bound to know what is happening next. You need know more. I loved this book because I already know about the heartache that he has and his desire for the right women. He takes care of his father, that lives in his own world and his spoiled rotten daughter. She doesn't want a mother, but look out here comes one. Here secret almost upset the whole thing with Holden. But true excitement, family and love will conquer all. I can't wait for another book from this author. I love the style and stories lines, of any book she writes. Can't wait for more.
Well, I’ve finished another story in this series and I see I’ve only one more to go before the end. I will be sad when it ends as I really have enjoyed this series. This story about Laurel was a humdinger because it reminded me of myself when I was younger, being afraid to go after what I wanted instead of what other people wanted for me, and ending up in some sad places. And I dearly loved Holden, a hero who just wouldn’t give up, no matter what, on the woman he loved. Wow, what a combo!
As with the other books in this series, author Lily Graison doesn't disappoint. I love how the Avery family is so close and Lily has a way of bringing the reader in to the family and the wonderful town of Willow Creek. I only wish books were rated like movies so a reader would know what to expect.
This is he story of Holden and Laurel. Laurel came to Montana to teach school. Holden Avery is the oldest one of the Avery brothers. It is pretty good how they meet, can't give that away. This story doesn't have the action or indepth feeling of the previous stories in this series. My one question is who set the barn on fire? We all know and you will to but no one investigated or questioned who could have done it. Did it create a hardship of the hay shortage? Maybe I missed something you will find out. Good series. I recommend this story.
I have read all four of the Willow Creek series and found them all to be very good! Each one kept getting better. I'm getting ready to read His Brothers Wife next. Although the H is not one of the brother, the story still takes place in Willow Creek. It is so heart warming to read about the people of a small town that is willing to pull together and help each other out.Usually they're just nosey and back-biting. The characters all seem to be interesting and exciting to read about. I recommend the Willow Creek series. Each one could probably be read stand-alone, but would be better to read in order. The Lawman, The Outlaw, The Gambler, and last, The Rancher. Then, His Brothers Wife. Happy reading!
Laurel Montgomery thought men were a pain. After finding out what some men were like, she swore that she'd never fall again. Before starting starting her new job as school teacher, she decides to have one more fling with life. When she goes into the saloon to have a drink, she catches the eye of Holden Avery. Laurel doesn't look like the other "ladies" in the saloon. He HAS to find out more about her. One drink leads to two leads to more... then he shows up in the town where she is to teach. What's a girl to do??
I love this story because Laurel is a strong, take no prisoners like of woman. She knows what she wants and thinks she knows how to get it. I also like to see the guy volunerable for a change. Holden wants Laurel and can't figure out why she wont fall at his feet. Alex isn't thrilled that Dad wants the teacher and is happy that things aren't going Dad's way. Overall, it was a quick read but very enjoyable. My husband kept looking at me strangely as I laughed out loud.
